As Prince Philip's funeral takes place, grandsons Prince Harry and Prince William had a reunion to attend the last journey of their grandfather
Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh passed away on April 9, 2021. His funeral has been held by the royal family at Windsor Castle. Keeping in mind the pandemic, the funeral has been kept low key and is taking place amidst a handful of people from the royal family. It includes estranged brothers Prince Harry and Prince William. As per the pictures that have made their way to the internet, Prince Harry and Prince William have a reunion after almost a year, as they attend their grandfather's funeral.
The Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex got spotted walking on either sides of their cousin Peter Phillips. They did not walk shoulder-to-shoulder as per the arrangements made by Buckingham Palace. Reportedly, Prince William and Prince Harry did not even sit side-by-side at St George's Chapel. They sat opposite each other with Prince William seating next to his wife and Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, as reported by dailymail.co.uk.
Prince Harry's wife Meghan Markle who is expecting their second child could not attend the funeral. Reportedly, she has been advised by her physician to not travel. However, Prince Harry and Meghan did release a message giving out their heartfelt tribute to Late Prince Philip.
Post the death of Prince Philip, the Royal Family's official Twitter handle made the announcement saying, "It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
